National Data Research (NDR) has been a long-term client of ours. Their company provides top-of-the-line facilities for conferences, marketing research groups, etc. in Downtown Chicago and north suburban Skokie.
We've recently updated their site to fit today's Web standards (the original site was built in 2003!) which includes a brand new home page animation featuring photos of the new Skokie location.
Nuveen has recently overhauled many of their Web sites, and we were there to help showcase their main product, closed-end funds. We were able to showcase our ability to design for data display and integration with back-end programming. We designed the display for funds, as well as each individual fund detail page and printable fact sheet, using not only designer's tools such as Photoshop, but also ASP.NET components via Visual Studio. We also assisted in designing and organizing a comprehensive educational section on closed-end funds, which utilizes Flash animations to emphasize a variety of financial concepts.
Along with the CEF Web site, we designed or assisted in developing several of Nuveen's fund manager sites, such as Nuveen Asset Management, Hyde Park, Santa Barbara and Tradewinds.
We had the pleasure of working with Nate Burgos of Design Feast in the design and development of a new resource for design internships, freelance and junior design jobs. We integrated a simple and clean design layout, and developed a slick job posting system which allows a customer to easily purchase and post a listing within minutes. We also developed a back-end administration tool to manage all job postings.
HouseWall Garage System provides high quality garage organization products and services. We overhauled the design of their site to give it a fresh look, as well as organized their franchise Web pages to assist the customer in contacting the right franchise for them. HouseWall is opening franchises across the country, and with our help is also selling its patented organization accessories in their new online store.
Project highlights:
Flash banners highlighting services throughout the site
The Examination Board of Home Professionals needed a design overhaul to their site for the National Home Inspector Examination. They also wanted to provide a paid directory of training providers for the NHIE. We gave them a bright new look, as well as an easy way to search for training providers and state regulations with a clickable map. We also implemented payment processing for training providers to purchase listings in the directory.
The Chicago Symphony Orchestra publishes a monthly/bi-monthly newsletter highlighting upcoming concerts and events, as well as advertising for featured artist albums. For about a year we helped bring these publications to the Web, which included refining the page so that it did not have to reload when changing each highlighted venue.
The Chicago Symphony Orchestra produced a brochure which provided information about music education centers and performance groups in the Chicagoland area. We created a multimedia version of this brochure in Flash, using music clips, profiles of young musicians, and a dynamic interactive map of all of the resources.
Project highlights:
Design implementation from print PDF version into Flash
Slick animation of young musician profile photos
Interactive map using XML and Flash for easy editing of content
